Irish Hockey League

UCD Crest
Welcome to February's Hockey Happenings
February was a busy month both on the domestic and international scene, with the Irish men and women competing in the World League Two Competition, and Ards (women) and Three Rock Rovers (men) represented Ireland at European Level at the EuroHockey Indoor Championships in Lisbon and Budapest respectively.

The Senior Men qualified for World League 3 whilst the Electric Ireland Senior Women unfortunately narrowly missed out on a place in the next round.

Ards finished third in their indoor competition, a significant achievement given their fourth place seeding going into the competition. Congratulations to coach Phillip Mills and all players involved.

Three Rock Rovers entered their 'C' division competition ranked 8th, and their credible 6th place finish ensured Ireland retain their place within the C division of European indoor club hockey. Once again congratulations must go to coach Liam Canning and all players involved.

Finally, there's an update on tickets for the EuroHockey Nations in Belgium in June, a tournament featuring both Senior Men and Women as well as loads more Hockey news for you to enjoy
